Built on the success of last editions, the 9th Dongguan China Shoes . China Shoetec (also named as “China Shoes . China Shoetec”), the UFI-approved footwear event in Asia and the premier sourcing platform for middle-to-high end footwear, materials and machinery, will be staged on 5–7 May 2009 at GD Modern International Exhibition Center, Houjie, Dongguan, PR China, same period with Canton fair.

In view of the challenges of worldwide economic downturn and the Mainland China market potentials, the organizers will focus its strategies on the domestic market exploration on top of export markets, more value-added services, strong media campaign, as well as strengthening domestic and overseas buyers promotion. Hot topics of domestic trade will be discussed and shared at the exhibition, including distribution channels, marketing, sales, credit management, payment, insurance, etc.
Besides, the organizers will strengthen cooperation with domestic associations by working closely with over 40 shoes & retailing associations for promoting the exhibition to their members.
"Buyers Village" will be newly launched to facilitate business matching. Domestic & international key buyers, traders and local brands will be invited to take a booth & meet with exhibitors for in-depth discussion & negotiation.
Franchising is one of the most popular channels by entering domestic market. To assist exhibitors who are interested in franchises, organizers will try to attract those enterprises & individuals who are interested in franchising to visit the show and to meet & discuss with relevant exhibitors directly.

As long-term supporters to the exhibition, numerous associations will continue to organize exhibiting pavilions at coming show, including Hong Kong Footwear Association, China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Light Industrial Products and Arts-Crafts (CCCLA), Dongguan Leather Shoes Association, Dongguan Shoe-Making Machinery Association, etc.
To facilitate buyers’ sourcing, new specialized shoe product zones namely “Kid’s Shoes Zones” & “Functional Shoes Zone” will be set up. Besides, “Synthetic Leather Zone” will be newly launched to demonstrate the latest trend and variety of synthetic leather.
The latest 2009 / 2010 footwear collection and design will be displayed in the fashion show. Design shoes of international and Chinese brands, the latest design shoes and drawings from designers will be displayed in the brand & design galaxy.
Concurrent seminars will also be held by inviting professionals from footwear industry to speak on hot topics and share the latest information of shoe market. Buyers’ dinner will provide a good platform for exhibitors and buyers to exchange market information.

The last edition of China Shoes . China Shoetec (Autumn 2008) was successfully held from October 30 – November 1, 2008. Exhibiting area was 22,000sqm with 498 exhibitors joined. The 3-day show attracted 18,453 visitors from 75 countries & regions.
