Thailand reported that the growth of exported shoes is steady
The amount of exported Thai shoes increased 1.05%, reaching 17.677 billion Thai Baht (USD464.58million).
Amongst, the amount of exported Thai shoes to the European Union recorded an increase to USD172.21million (5.67% growth), while the amount to USA decreased to USD151.39million (6.81% decrease). Among all kinds of shoes, exported leather shoes share around 64% in total exported shoes.
Export of leather shoes to the European Union recorded an increase to USD130.23million (12.33% growth), while decreased to USD103.76million for export to USA (8.32% decrease).
Thailand gains a good export opportunity because the European Union imposes anti-dumping tax on the shoes from China and Vietnam. Despite of Thailand, Indonesia is also beneficial to the anti-dumping tax imposed on China and Vietnam because large-scale international manufacturers are relocating their producing equipments to Indonesia.
