Increment in export of Vietnam Footwear to Australia

Vietnam Trade Council announced that the export of Vietnam Footwear to Australia increase 46.3% comparing with during Jan and Feb 2005 export figure reaches US6.15 million dollars.

Australia mainly imports Sport Shoes, Leather-capped Shoes and Kitting-capped Shoes from Vietnam. Sport Shoes contribute the vast export gty among the 3 types. The export figure reaches US2.6 million dollars, increasing 32.83% comparing with last year. Most exported Sport Shoes in Vietnam are manufactured from foreign-invested enterprises and they are supported with sufficient capital investment and high technology.

Further, about US 1.45 million dollars Leather-capped Shoes are imported to Australia from Vietnam this year with 50% increment verus last year. The growth rate of importing kitty-capped shoes was quite high, reaches 117.25% but the exporting value was just closed to US0.95 millions dollars.
