Shoe brands' development in South China - Shenzhen
Shenzhen, as one of the key consumption area of South China Province of China,
already attracts lots of International Brands to the market. With the continuous
development of more high-end department stores in Shenzhen, we found there are
already over 100 international high-end shoe brands ( price range from RMB 1,500
to RMB20,000 each ) in the market. Those large and key shopping malls mainly located
in Luohu, Futian, and Nashan areas.
To have a better understanding of Shenzhen shoes' market, we conduct a market
study with those middle to high end department stores including like SEIBU \ FREND
SHOP DEPT STORE \ KING GLORY PLAZA \ Mixc \ MOI \ RAINBOW .
Most international brands
we found are from Europe inside these stores and apart from sports brands, US
are comparative not active as Europe in the market. These brands include A.Testoni
\ Louis Vuitton \ Tod's \ Kaltendin \ BcBGirl ....
Most of them are either
made in Europe or Brazil and most of them do not have or no plan to start their
production directly in China. Most of these international brands will either
finding agents or through franchise to establish the China Market while some
other will start up the business operation directly in China like Fendi so as
to have better control and understanding of the market. Mc.Choice \ Haolin are
the representative of brands like BRUNOMAGLI,CHINOTTO,S.T.Dupont,Artioli...in
China whereas local brands like Mirabell and Longhao also involve in the business
development of international brands in the China Market.

of BALLY in Seibu dept store is very satisfied with Bally's sales performance.
He claimed apart from good product quality, wearing Bally Shoes can help to
perceive a more prestige image among themselves. (BALLY Shoes ranging from RMB
2,000 to RMB10,000 each)
