A huge project was launched for a local enterprise and a local college as they joined their effort to create a platform of technology innovation. Hongqingting Group devoted RMB 1 million (USD 120,400) to launch a 'technological innovation fund for shoes and boots' in the School of Art, Wenzhou Normal College. The enterprise and the college will cooperate to establish the brand major of boots and shoes design and engineering.
The major of shoes sample design in the School of Art of Wenzhou Normal College is one of the two undergraduate majors for shoes sample design in China. The Information Center of China Shoe Capital is located here. The cooperation between the enterprise and the college aims at the realization of two-way cooperation between technological breakthroughs in the shoes industry and the research of China's 5000 years of shoes culture. After the establishment of the fund, both sides will be committed to the humanistic study of shoes-making technology and will carry out in joint efforts the project breakthroughs of "R&D of Comfortable and Healthy Shoes and Boots" as well as the research on training pattern of shoes designing talents, etc. Part of the fund will also be used to award various innovation achievements made by the college students.
