Vietnam : Footwear material imports drop sharply

In September 2006, footwear materials imports turnover of Vietnam witnessed sharp drop at 13.8 percent in comparison with same period 2005, totaled upto US $109.3 million.

In that situation, importing price of most materials made stable, and lower than previous months of July and August at from 4 to 10 percent, especially for major goods of canvas, label, shoes sole and embellishments.

Industrial experts forecast that importing price of most these footwear materials would be kept at rate lower than price of July and August this year largely due to re-increasing price of world crude materials
