Zhejiang shoe exports to Africa grow
During the first three quarters of this year, African imports of shoes from Zhejiang, China, rose by 38.4% in value on the same period in the previous year. During January to September, Zhejiang exported a total of 1,190 million pairs of shoes - a value of $2.94 billion - with African imports reaching 201 million pairs at a value of $320 million.
Along with Africa, shoes made in Zhejiang are mainly exported to the EU, Ukraine, USA, Russia, Japan and the mid east Asian countries.
