China and Indonesia Footwear Industries Seek for the co-operation

Quanzhou Footwear Association, Mr Sit Tak Sing , Minister of Indonesia industrial department, together with head of Indonesia Light Industry Department, Chairman of Java Province industrial Bureau and the president of Java Footwear Association visited Quanzhou, China and seek for co-operation with Quanzhou Footwear Association.

Besides, they also visited other footwear manufacturing bases in China like Wenzhou and Guangdong. Quanzhou is their last stop for their trip.

Footwear Industry was the one of the foundation industry in Indonesia. Due to the rapid development of China and Vietnam footwear industry, the footwear industry in Indonesia was affected and in the down trend. Starting from last year, Indonesia trading department imposed some protective policies to the local footwear industry. Further, with the anti-dumping policy imposed to China, some international brands starting to increase shoe orders in Indonesia. For those Chinese footwear manufacturers, who are under anti-dumping investigation also starting to pay more attention to the Indonesia market and they planning to shift part of the production process inside Indonesia. As for the above reasons, the Indonesia Footwear Industry started retrieve and Mr Sin actually seek for better co-operation between China and Indonesia in the future.

Both Indonesia Footwear Association and Quanzhou Footwear Association planned to visit Quanzhou and Indonesia again in the coming 2 months. It hopes the visit can help to speed up the mutual understanding and nourish better development in the future.
