Marketing Channels in China's Domestic Shoe Market

Shoe retail channels in Mainland China are still dominated by large shopping center, warehouse-type stores and department stores while the number of exclusive stores and franchised stores is growing rapidly in recent years. For example, famous brand LeSaunda has opened about 180 exclusive stores or counters in the country; Aokang has its marketing network distributed in many large and medium cities around the country, including more than 3000 exclusive stores and more than 800 exclusive halls or counters in large department stores.
Chain store marketing mode is expected to exhibit strong competitive edge in future shoe dealing. Large shoe chain store is becoming an operation mode much favored by many enterprises. Examples include Calofu chain stores in Shenzhen, Darloro chain stores in Guangzhou and Longhao chain stores in Guangdong.
Apart from the above marketing modes, many enterprises are now shifting to large shopping malls and implementing their multi-brand operation modes where they sell shoes of different brands and types in a single store and thus adopt diversified-brand operation in place of single-brand operation. Aokang "Famous Brand Space" is a typical example of this large store operation mode.
